Three times a year 50 new, amateur, professional and / or seasoned knife makers make a trek from just about anywhere to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

In site of Lake Michigan, they grind, glue, sharpen and thoroughly enjoy the new skill and camaraderie they experience.

This is a Grind In.

Have you ever thought of learning to make a knife? Bark River closes shop early on Friday so that it can gear up to make those thoughts a reality.

Enjoy making a knife of your own design or having one of us help you design it, pick out your handle materials and your off to grind.

Afterwards enjoy a great banquet dinner and a short time on Sunday to finish projects.

Grind In Information-

There are only about 50 spots available, so we suggest you contact us at least three months ahead and send a confirmation.

$280 for Grind In – Includes Dinner on Friday night, Lunch and Dinner on Saturday, first knife, standard Pins or Corby Bolts, Micarta or G10 handles.Woods, Burls, Liners and Mosaic Pins will be an up charge.

$100 Grind In 2nd knife (Late Saturday or Sunday Completed before 1 PM)
